Beyoncé is often referred to by her fans, peers and the media as ‘Queen Bey,’ and with so many accolades and broken records under her belt, it’s no surprise why. From touring stadiums around the world to becoming the most awarded artist at the Grammys, there’s not much left for Beyoncé to achieve. To honor the star, Candlelight is paying homage to Bey with the help of a fabulous string quartet and hundreds of twinkling candles.
This July, The Gladstone Theatre will sound with the moving melodies of Beyoncé’s biggest hits performed on strings as a sea of candles flickers away. Both the BeyHive and classical music fans alike will be coming together to enjoy an unforgettable evening that’s paying tribute to one of the biggest stars on the planet.
Candlelight Tribute to Beyoncé
In the early 1990s, Beyoncé helped formed what is now known as Destiny’s Child – one of the best-selling groups of all time. But Queen Bey’s legacy certainly doesn’t stop there. With endless awards, countless iconic dance moves and lyrics and enough hit records to sink a battleship, Queen Bey has it all. In fact, the icon has accomplished more during her 25-year career than most other artists have achieved in their lifetime.
Much to the dismay of the Ottawa branch of the BeyHive, the “Alien Superstar” has no plans to stop off in the city during her Renaissance World Tour any time soon. So, if you weren’t lucky enough to get tickets to a show in another city, then this mesmerizing Candlelight tribute is the concert for you. Love on Top, Hold Up, Irreplaceable, Halo and many more hits will be performed by Listeso String Quartet throughout this unforgettable evening which will be made even more special by the enchanting glow of hundreds of candles.
Thanks to the magical ambiance created by the soothing sounds of classical music and the warm glow of candlelight, this enchanting concert is set to look and sound like something straight out of your “Sweet Dreams.” Whether you want to experience this magical concert on your own or with your nearest and dearest, you’re sure to enjoy a spectacular evening to remember.
There will be two back-to-back performances on the night, with the first concert starting at 6:30pm and the later one at 8:45pm. Doors open 45 minutes prior to the start time and each concert lasts 65 minutes.
