1. Supporting the arts
From 2011 onwards, TGT aimed to provide a venue for indie theater companies in need of a reasonably priced space. As a result, SevenThirty Productions and Plosive Productions came together to schedule independent artists and other theatre companies which eventually led to the involvement of Same Day Theatre, Bear & Co, Black Sheep Theatre, and many more.
2. Finding potential in a red-brick patio
The pandemic proved to be an extremely difficult challenge for theatres. However, in July 2020, The Gladstone managed to stage a live show on the patio that sits in front of the theatre. Although only 20 people could attend, being able to watch David Greig’s Midsummer be brought to life was nonetheless a welcome sight.

To feel fully immersed in a show at The Gladstone, visitors can expect to find drinks prepared with the performance in mind at the on-site bar.
