The Candlelight series invites fans of the famous Legend of Zelda to relive some of their favorite action-packed moments while listening to renditions of music composed for the iconic game. With the recent release of the sequeal to Breath of the Wild, now seems as good a time as any to recreate some of the magic associated with Link’s adventures in the kingdom of Hyrule.
A solo pianist is taking to the candlelit stage at First Baptist Church this summer to perform music from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and more. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience illuminating Ottawa.
Candlelight: The Best of Zelda at First Baptish Church
The release of The Legend of Zelda in 1986 marked a significant shift in the gaming world. Thanks to its advanced features such as the save function and a focus on a more immersive experience, the game helped shape the history of video games. Shigeru Miyamoto—the developer responsible for Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda—created a distinctive game defined by impressive visuals and a great storyline. As well as these desirable features, The Legend of Zelda also became known for its music, a “new kind of music”.
On August 10, The Legend of Zelda fanatics are invited to hear the likes of the game’s title theme, main theme, and medleys from Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, Breath of the Wild, and more reimagined on piano at a breathtaking performance in Ottawa.
Prepare for something otherworldy at Ottawa’s First Baptist Church. What’s more, two performances are taking place on the evening, at 7:00 pm and 9:15 pm, allowing you to pick a concert that suits your schedule best.
