The 5 Tastiest Fall-Flavoured Treats To Try This October

There’s nothing like cozying up on the couch with a warm drink and a fall-flavoured dessert when it’s cold and grey outside. Now that it really feels like fall with all the rain, it’s an easy excuse to treat yourself to some sweet goodies from the best bakeries in Ottawa.

Here’s 5 of the most delicious fall-flavoured treats you should try in Ottawa this month.

1. Maverick’s Donuts

This delightful donut shop is taking Ottawa by storm and we can’t get enough of their fall-flavoured donuts. Maverick’s has tons of different options (including vegan and gluten free) but our personal favourite is their new Pecan Pie Cake donuts. If you want to try all their six new autumn flavours, pick up one of their Thanksgiving packs to try each!

Location: 1500 Bank Street, 1408 Stittsville Main, 46 Byward Market, 307A Richmond Rd, and 4055 Carling Ave

2. Stella Luna Gelato

Normally when you think fall desserts, ice cream doesn’t come to mind first. However, we couldn’t help but include Stella Luna on the list. Their apple pie flavoured gelato is jam-packed with deliciously crunchy pie crust bits and apple sauce. Yum!

Location: 1103 Bank Street, Ottawa, 1130 Wellington Street West, Ottawa, and 111 Main Street East, Merrickville-Wolford

3. Frank’s Catering and Baked Goods

Sometimes, all you’re craving is a classic pumpkin pie and lucky for you, Frank’s has one of the very best in the city. They have your classic and a pumpkin cheesecake if you’re feeling adventurous. Grab yours by the slice or a whole pie to take home.

Location: 283 Greenbank Rd and 1121 Meadowlands Dr E

4. The Black Walnut Bakery

How absolutely mouth-watering does this look…The Black Walnut Bakery is the only place you can find Pumpkin cheesecake crumble pie! A combo of all our three favourites – you’ve got to try this.

Location: 979 Cameron St. Cumberland

5. Red Door Provisions

For all our gluten-free friends with a sweet tooth, you’ve got to try the Red Door’s amazing pumpkin cookies. Loaded with cinnamon royal icing, these babies are the perfect fall-flavoured treat everyone can enjoy. They also serve up the most incredible Honey Chai loaf on their fall menu that you won’t want to miss.

Location: 117 Beechwood Ave
