How To Celebrate International Picnic Day In Ottawa

This year, International Picnic Day lands on a Friday, providing the best excuse to make some fun plans this evening. As much as we’ve been loving the re-0pening of patios, it is a bit tough on the wallet. A picnic is fantastic way to spend quality time with friends and family while saving some money.

One of the best summer activities, a picnic is an affordable and fun way to enjoy the sun with loved ones. Can’t decide what to bring? Our go-to is a simple charcuterie platter. Grab a fresh baguette at a nearby bakery, some nice cheeses, olives, salami or prosciutto and some nuts. Spread a big blanket in a nearby park, pop on some relaxing music and savour the end of the work week. You might want to bring some drinks and cards to really kick back with friends.
