Don´t miss out on the incredible Indigenous Winter Market on December 1st 2021.
The third annual Indigenous Winter Market hosted by Carleton University is on back tomorrow! This is a fantastic opportunity to get started on your holiday shopping while supporting local, indigenous creators and artists. Run by Carleton´s Center of Indigenous Initiatives, this virtual market is part of an effort to highlight the incredible talent of local Indigenous artisans in the community.
The Indigenous Winter Market tomorrow will feature plenty of beautiful, handmade items like beaded jewelry, paintings, candles, and attire that will make for fantastic stocking stuffers or gifts for the holidays. Throughout the pandemic, many small businesses and artists have been suffering so buying your Christmas gifts from Indigenous creators here at the market is a really thoughtful way to support local.
Although other markets in past years have included live performances and prizes, given the uncertainty of upcoming restrictions, Ottawa´s Indigenous Winter Market will remain online this year. However, there will still be prizes and giveaways through the day! The link to this incredible Indigenous virtual market place will go live tomorrow on their event page, so stay tuned for more information!
