Welcome Santa to Ottawa before the holidays at the fantastic Help Santa Toy Parade this Saturday.
For more than 50 years, The Ottawa Professional Fire Fighters’ Association has run the Help Santa Toy Parade and collected children’s toys for families in need in Ottawa. A remarkable contribution to the local community, this fair brings much needed Christmas joy to all.
The Help Santa Parade of Lights begins at Laurier Avenue West in front of Ottawa City Hall. It will continue through Bank Street and Fifth Avenue just before Lansdowne.
After recent tragic events in the United States, the annual Help Santa Parade has been scaled back in the interest of public safety and security. Instead of a series of three parades, there will only be one Santa Parade held in Downtown Ottawa. Furthermore, all toy donations will be accepted at City of Ottawa Fire Stations and cash donations made online.
Be sure to head downtown to join in all the fun holiday festivities this weekend and donate to such an important cause.
