What is We Call It Flamenco?
It’s an immersion into the vibrant world of Flamenco; a breathtaking performance highlighting six unique styles, or ‘palos’, of this traditional Spanish art form. You’ll witness the powerful movement of skilled ‘bailaores’ alongside the raw emotion of ‘cantaores’ – talented singers. The captivating melodies of the Spanish guitar brings even more life to this show as the elegant footwork swirls around the stage. Spanning four acts, ‘We Call It Flamenco’ is a celebration of Spain’s rich cultural heritage, blending song, dance, and music in a mesmerizing tribute to the heart and soul of Flamenco.

Flamenco encompasses more than 50 distinct musical styles, each designed to convey different emotions. ‘We Call It Flamenco’ will take you on a journey through six of the most celebrated palos – fandango, zambra, bulería, soleá por bulerías, tangos, and cantiñas. These forms range from sensual and reflective to intense and spirited. Originating in the 18th century, flamenco blends Gitano, Moorish, and Andalusian traditions, with performers expressing raw emotion through both music and dance.
