1. Enjoy stunning views of the city from a patio

2. Spend a slow summer’s day at Gatineau Park

3. Visit one of Ottawa’s drive in movie theatres

4. Take a hike without even leaving the city

5. Taste some craft beers at the Gatineau Beer Fest
Until August 7th, the Gatineau Beerfest is a must-visit to taste-test over 350 different craft beers. Featuring more than 30 Québec and Ontario Brewers, it’s a great way to get outside this weekend and cool down with some tasty local breweries.
6. Visit the 613 flea market this weekend
Filled with local art and talent, 613 flea market is fun place to check out this month. This August 14th, check out over 80 vendors at the market between 10am and 4pm at Landsdowne Park.
7. Watch the fireworks show at the Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light festival
Located this year on the grounds of the Canadian Museum of History, the Sound of Lights festival is returning every Wednesday and Saturday night for the first three weeks of the month. Grab tickets for the best viewing here and enjoy the incredible displays of lights.
8. Check out Capital Pride Week
August 22nd – August 29th 2021 the Capital Pride fest returns to Ottawa. Be sure to check out the Rainbow party, picnics and sporting events, and of course, the Pride Parade. The centre of Ottawa’s Gay Village at the corner of Bank St and Somerset St West is sure to be bustling with activities and live music this whole week.
